    I’m having a problem. I’m trying to create a small "forum" if you will by using Jot. I’m using Ditto to display 4 topics on one page, with some javascript tabs. When I set everything up before moving over to Ditto, Jot worked fine. Obviously the only problem was that there were 4 Jot calls on the same page, and they were all submitting to the same place, rather than acting independently, since they were associated with the same document ID. To solve this problem, I created 4 documents underneath my original one. However, now that my Jot call is located in my Ditto template, it just outputs the snippet call in code form. If I pull the code out from the Ditto template and put it in the document content, the same thing happens. Am I trying to do something that you just can’t do in ModX with these two snippets? I don’t think I am... but maybe I’m mistaken?

    Parent page template
    <div id="tabs"><!--tabs-->
            <ul class="tabs"><!--tabs nav must be WITHIN #tabs-->
                [!Ditto? &parents=`117` &tpl=`bulletin-links` &display=`all`!] <!--this one works fine-->
            </ul><!--tabs-->
        	<br class="clear">
                [!Ditto? &parents=`117` &tpl=`bulletin-board` &display=`all`!]
    </div><!--tabs-->

    Chunk: bulletin-board
    <div id="[+alias+]" class="box"><!--[+alias+]-->
    [+content+]
    [!Jot? &subscribe=`1` &docid=`[+id+]` &pagination=`10` moderated=`1` &subscribe=`1` &customfields=`email,phone` &tplForm=`bulletin-form` &tplComments =`bulletin-comments` &placeholders=`1` &output=`0`!]
    [+jot.html.navigation+]
    [+jot.html.comments+]
    [+jot.html.moderate+]
    [+jot.html.form+]
    </div><!--[+alias+]-->

    Here’s my test page: http://www.cfusc.com/bulletin-board-testing

    Thanks!

    PS: I’m using 1.0

      Perhaps it is a snippet nesting issue. Try calling the Jot snippet like so:

      [[Jot? params...]]

      In cases like this where you call the first snippet uncached [!snippet!], then any other snippet call which is included via chunks should be called [[snippet]].

        Wow, you are a genius. Thank you so much, that did the trick! I know I’ve had a problem with this before, but I didn’t even think of it because I thought it had to do with nested calls of the same type. i.e. calling Ditto inside of ditto... now I realize that it’s actually ALL snippet calls.
