Heya everyone-
So I am using jot along with maxigallery for a photo contest site. I have been having significant trouble with getting the comments to output with a call like this:
The comments are generated on each images maxigallery page (docID=2) with this call:
[[Jot? &placeholders=`1` &output=`0` &tagid=`[+maxigallery.picture.id+]` &canpost=`Registered` &canmoderate=`WebAdmin` &canedit=`Registered`]]
As you can see the call generated a unique tagID for each photo and it writes to the DB as such. So its all good there. Now however when I try and pull comments from a different page using something like this:
<h2>Recent Comments</h2>
[[Jot? &placeholders=`1` &output=`0` &docid=`2` &debug=`0`]]
[+jot.html.comments+]
I get no comments returned. For kicks and giggles I went into the jot_contents column and deleted the tagID from a sample comment and it works as it should. WHich points to the tag id as the culprit.
Any thoughts?
UPDATE:
So I was looking through the wiki to see how jot handles tagid parameter and got this working:
<h2>Recent Comments</h2>
[[Jot? &placeholders=`1` &output=`0` &docid=`2` &tagid=`85` &debug=`0`]]
[+jot.html.comments.85+]
In this case the "85" is automatically generated by maxigallery.
Now the problem is that these all of the tagIDs are generated by maxigallery depending on the picture id. So Im thinking wildcard * But as far as I know that doesnt exist quite yet (Ive been messing around with the jot+extended and some other hacks but I havent any success.).
So if anyones got any ideas...
