using ¬ifyAuthor if the author is a webuser

i am using jot 1.1.3 for blog comments. the notification works fine if the author is a manager user, however, it doesn’t send an email if the author is a web user. here is my call:

this post inspired me to look into the Jot’s code and see how it handles &notifyAuthor=`1` parameter since I am also using this feature. Unfortunately, Jot 1.1.3 and 1.1.4 silently assumes that the creator of the commented article/document belongs to manager users. But patching this was not a big deal so on my page (http://setpro.net.pl/software/modx-stuff) where I am providing several another patches for Jot you can find fresh copies of Jot 1.1.3 and 1.1.4 where mentioned bahavior of &notifyAuthor=`1` was improved. You need to overwrite the main Jot’s class file. And, of course, please let me know if it works for you...
