Jot problem with coding

Hello world,

i have strange problem with jot...
first all my files and bd ist utf-8 for example:

1. chunk.notify.moderator.inc.txt (this is in my editor):
(look file utf8_1.JPG) i write code in utf8

2. this is in my BD:
(look file bd_utf.JPG) in the bd evrything  recordin in utf and is correct

and when send eMail when i have new comment-post(Email notifications ) in some article i get this:
look file mail.JPG

i change my mail client and server but is same problem and i don`t find him...

The problem is in Jot’s core code. The Jot snippet sends emails with PHP function mail() and does not encode properly wide characters you are using (cyrillic). I have devoted to this topic entire article at http://setpro.net.pl/software/modx-stuff

The algorithm for quick patching your problem might be as follows:
1) download from above-mentioned page the correct version of patched Jot class file and overwrite with it a file existing in your MODx installation -- my patched version uses PHP Mailer class for sending emails
2) open within your MODx installation the file "/manager/includes/controls/class.phpmailer.php" and set there


Now the Jot snippet should handle your emails properly. (And, of course, let me know how it works )
