Something odd has been happening in our installation of the Jot snippet. We run a news web site,
http://www.QuincyNews.org, and require visitors to have a web user account in order to comment on articles. Sometimes people can comment and it doesn’t show their web user name. I believe they are actually logged in but the webuser id isn’t being recorded. I have seen this happen within the same IP address where they would post once with their user name then once without and then with their user name again. I checked the database and it doesn’t record the id number for the web user record into the jot table in such instances. We are using version 1.1.3 and the snippet call [!Jot? &moderated=`1` &pagination=`10` &canpost=`members` ¬ifyAuthor=`1`!]
Has anyone seen or heard of this before? I found one other post that seems to be having the same problem but no information as to the cause.
