Is there a way to override the post / edit dates?

I am using Jot for some data keeping and I would like to be able to modify the creation dates (and ignore edit date) and sometimes the data is not entered on the day it was recorded...

    Thanks!

Yes, just use a date type TV.

Very nice... I didn’t see any mention of using a TV in the docs. Any examples floating around?

Looked again, don’t see anything about how to use a TV in this approach...

Creating a new custom field for my ’date’ using a text input does work, but not when I use the "/" in the date.

            Any ideas?

            Thanks!

Create a new TV, give it an input type of Date and an output widget Date; configure the widget to suit your needs. Check the box for the template you’ll want to use this TV with as usual.

Put the TV wherever you want the date; in your template, in document content, or in a Ditto template.

When editing documents, you’ll get the usual little javascript date picker icons, one to select the date from a pop-up calendar and one to clear the field. By default the javascript date input produces month-day-year hour:minutes:seconds. The date output widget will format the TV’s output as you specify in its configuration.

*sigh* I know about TV’s and the date formatter, but I need to to this with every comment, not single document.

                Thanks
