I’ve been playing with Quickedit, and reduced permission accounts.
Something that I would have liked to do, is allow the front end to be editable but prevent the ability to fully log in to the manager.
I have created a content management role, enabling the Run Module tick box, and allowed document editing for a user group. Created a user, and prevented that user from logging into the Manager.
On the manager login now, I am able to log into the manager without actually getting into the document area, which is great. It tells me I am logged in. On the front end, I get the quick edit links, however when I click on them to edit the content, I get the manager "you are logged in" page rather than the editor.
Is what I am trying to acheive possible? or have I missed a permission setting somewhere down the line. I have not enabled document permissions btw.
Thanks.

I’ve got the same issue, is this something that can be achieved at all?

Sort of.
See:
How to create User that can edit only from the QuickEdit?
I’m closing this thread to avoid running multiple threads on the same issue.
