    Dear modx’s

    I’m currently working on project where a user can place an advertisement on a page.

    No troubles yet;

    The tricky stuff:
    The advertisement needs an image. Of course i could make a costum field and let the user give the path to the image they want to use but in this case it would be far more handy if a user could select a file and upload it.

    An image upload upload system like this nothing special but the trouble is that you need 2 forms with both a submit button and when one button is activated jot tries to submit the reaction (in this case a small personal advertisement).

    I’m kind of lost in the search of a solution. i thought of displaying the upload form in an iframe/pop up but you create another problem. How do you get the path to the uploaded image in jot.

    Do you guys have any suggestions?
    The most beautiful would be to upload the images on the same time when jot form’s is submitted, but without storing the image in the database. But i’m not quite sure how to do this.

    ’Problem’ 2:
    When an advertisement is sold an admin/usergroup needs to set the status to ’sold’ the add is still viable but with a transparent image ’sold’ over it. I had not much time to look into this yet but my thoughts are hiding/displaying an absolute positioned div. Would you agree that this is the best way, or would you have a better way?

    Thanks in advance.
