I have an asynchronous login on my demo site (AJAX using WebLoginPE) and when a user logs in, the div that holds a warning that "You must log in to post comments" gets replaced by a jot form. Problem was I was generating the jot call on another page and returning it to this page via Taconite so the form action was to that other page (an XML document). I made a second custom Jot form template, this time with"
<form method="post" action="ajax-login.html#jf[+jot.link.id+]" id="jotForm">
instead of the default
<form method="post" action="[+form.action:esc+]#jf[+jot.link.id+]" id="jotForm">
So I replaced the [+form.action:esc+] with the actual alias of the page I want to post comments to, but it still does not work after AJAX login... nothing gets posted until there is a page refresh.
I have very little understanding of PHx, but I wonder if it has something to with that? how much of the PHx stuff can I take out of a form and still have a working Jot comment page. Can I do it without the placeholders like [+jot.id+], [+jot.seed+], and [+form.field.parent+]?
What is the BARE MINIMUM for a working form?
