    hi There I am a newbie to Modx and have just installed it for the first time to experiment with its amazing functionality. I have started to build a site with it and in playing with the blog have come accross a problem with the comments link. I get this error:
    « MODx Parse Error »
    MODx encountered the following error while attempting to parse the requested resource:
    « Execution of a query to the database failed - You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ’’ at line 1 »
    SQL: UPDATE `user12324796_1`.modx_jot_content SET title=’Re: Blah Blah Blah’,content=’xncvncvxnvbc’,createdon=’1176820892’,createdby=’1’,secip=’80.177.223.51’,sechash=’d02cea78fccd62820198af69eb2e0a12’,uparent=’58’,tagid=’’,published=’1’ WHERE id=;
    [Copy SQL to ClipBoard]

    Parser timing
    MySQL: 0.1671 s (24 Requests)
    PHP: 0.1349 s
    Total: 0.3019 s

    The server is Linux the web browser is Firefox.

    I am new to this and have very little experience with server type stuff and may have cganged something that has caused this problem, however wither way I would be stoked to get some help if someone could help me fix this. As I am blown away with Modx but have just hit this hurddle at the end!
    cheers
    mark

      Hi lateral and welcome aboard. That looks like a problem with Jot, so moving to the appropriate forum. Best of luck!

        I’m getting the same results with a new installation of modx:

        SQL: UPDATE `adaa`.modx_jot_content SET title=’Bom!’,content=’dadada dadada’,createdon=’1177365464’,createdby=’1’,secip=’x.x.x.x.x’,sechash=’f5bc56ab5118b1f044bce127a1dbfaa4’,uparent=’39’,tagid=’’,published=’1’ WHERE id=;

        I wonder if the empty id parameter in the line above is the problem?

        My call for jot: [!Jot? &subscribe=`0` &guestname=`Anônimo`!]
