Quick update on the stuff i’m currently working on for next release.
Current SVN version:
- Multiple submits of same form data will be detected and canceled.
- Edit comment for moderators
- Sorting of comments by all available fields (including custom fields) from snippet call
- Field validation for all available fields (including custom fields), default validations included are [required, number, email, and custom regular expression]
- Auto include (custom) stylesheet (disable, enabled, define custom stylesheet)
Still to do for next release:
* Edit comment for normal users - 90 % finished
* Threaded comments (nested, reply to reply) - 90 % finished
* Report to moderator.
* User Postcount.
To do for future releases:
* Jot module
* Post previews
* mode: Private Messaging.
* mode: Forum.
the module will include:
* Setup wizard (snippet call generation etc..)
* Central moderation.
* Documentation.
As you can see the Central moderation functionality as talked about in this thread is not going to happen this upcoming release. I’ve decided to create a Jot module in the future where central moderation and maintenance will be options. For the time being it’s best to let moderators receive notification of new posts (which is already an option).
If there are people out there willing to help and test the development versions of Jot, gimme a PM.
I’m also looking for someone who can create a nice logo for Jot and for people to put some of their examples and uses of Jot into the
wiki documentation
