Hi Aour,

For the summaries I got the &trunc on true. But I would like to have the posts on the news-page to be &trunc on false. Unfortunately this does not work. It still shows the posts exactly as &trunc on true.

So for the summary block I have:

    [[NewsListing? &startID=`6` &trunc=’true’ &total=`20`]]

and for the News-page where the posts should show the entire post it has:

    [[NewsListing? &startID=`6` &trunc=’false’ &total=`20`]]

The results are the same. Should I add some more to it?

    Cheers Paul

Hi Paul, are you using the splitter method to split the posts? If this is the NewsListing snippet that ships with 0.9.0, it should be working. I’m not sure about the older versions... very odd...

        Hi Paul,

Please note that you should use &trunc=`true` rather than &trunc=’true’

        Make note of the ( ` )

          Hi Ryan,

I do not have the splitter configured correctly I guess. Read the snippet about a thousand times and thought it generated a [<!-- splitter -->] through the NewsPublisher. I am a little bit lost reading all snippets and forum posts the same time. Meanwhile writing this I am also hussling with the contactform. Hehe. But will post that later on if I can not figure it out myself.

What should I do exactly to view the posts completly without the "Show more..." ??

          Thanks for helping guys!!!

          Cheers Paul

It’s probably always going to show "show more..." on the summary page. That’s effectively the link to your "permalink". Removing it from the summary view mode, where they display with other summaries, will require a tiny bit of hacking to the snippet.

Would it accept a space or in the trunkText parameter?

                Hi Ryan,

On the summary page it has to show "show more...". But is it also possible to disable it on the News-page where all posts should be displayed complete?

Try NewsArchiver (in the forums) for that.

                    Hai Mark,

I did install your NewsArchiver and must say it looks also the same. Still having the problem showing the post completely. I’m going to try again.

                    Thanks for helping.

                    Cheers Paul

The News Page itself should not have a call to the Newslisting script on it. If you add the Show more... to the footer template via NewsPublisher, then it will be on the article it creates as well.
