[~[+id+]~] in Revo?!

Sorry, but after an hour of searching how to very simply address the ID of the document in Revo, I just can’t help posting.



damnit. how do I address the ID? I wish the Revo docu would be a bit more straightforward to answer very basic questions like this one ... thanks.

If you are in Revo the syntax of all tags has changed...
so it should be [[+id]].

You posted this in a Ditto forum, you should really be using
getResources in Revo. Ditto is not going to be used any more in
Revo and I think it is not even being supported anymore.

So your call should look like this:

<li>
<a href="[[~[[+id]]]]">[[+title]]</a>
</li>

Blimey that’s ugly, look at all the brackets you need count on the right. Can’t understand why they couldn’t have kept the logical symmetry of an Evo call!

Thanks also tkfm; I’ve looked at those syntax, still could not figure it out. Look at the brackets, a bit unreal ;p

Actually it’s the exact same numbers of brackets as in Evo.

I think the reason is to streamline the tags a little and for some reasons linked to the new parser which is more versatile than the Evo parser.

Honestly, it’s just a question of habits.

The Revo tags are easier to type once you get used to them and they all start with [[ and end with ]], which makes them easier to remember (and faster to parse).
