Customized Ditto Pagination

I’d like to create next/last pagination using Ditto, but want to use an image (like a navigational arrow) rather than text to indicate the presence of another page.

Is the best way to accomplish by using &tplPaginatePrevious and &tplPaginateNext, with the value for each a chunk containing the img tag?
