Using Ditto to Extract Documents from other MODx Sites

We are setting up a corporate/franchise relationship using MODx. Meaning www.corporate.com for the main and franchiseedave.corporate.com, franchiseesusan.corporate.com, etc. for the franchise sites.

If each franchise site is a separate MODx install (using includes to pull common snippet, templates, and chunks), is there a way to share some of the content. For example. Show certain documents from the corporate site (that are published and managed on the corporate site) in the franchisee sites? In some cases, these would be multiple documents, such as blog entries setup using Ditto.
