Hide images in Ditto Summary

Hi,

I’m still learing modx so please excuse me if this is a daft question.

By default Ditto ’Summary’ truncates content at 300 characters. This is great, however, if there is an image in the first 300 characters of any content the image is shown in the summary. Is there an easy way to strip out images from the summary but leave them in the full page?

I think it’s possible using a phx custom modifier

Actually I could put the image in a chunk if necessary but I’d still need to exclude it from the ditto summary. Would this be possible?

Just put your chunk in the ditto tpl

Sorry to dig up an old topic but it was the first result when I searched for this issue. After not seeing a solution native I decided to just add a quick line of code to the extender to do it for me and thought it was best to share in case any other users find this topic too.

In in /assets/snippets/ditto/extenders/summary.extender.inc.php add to at the end (approx line 325) right before "return $summary;"
