The ditto template is in a chunk and set to text editor none. I thought it might have been tinyMCE somehow, so I deleted the chunk and created a new one, manually typing in the code, and still i get the same result.
Obviously it goes without saying that do not have <pre> tags or "code" styles in my template or stylesheet
