[+date+] not displaying in Ditto 2.1.0

I have just upgraded to Modx 1.0.2 with Ditto 2.1.0 and the [+date+] placeholder in my chunk templates does not display anything.

Have I missed any significant changes?

I am currently working around using: [+createdon:date=`%A %d %B %Y`+] but still unsure why the [+date+] placeholder does not work.

Looking at the debug, it is reading the createdon template variable fine.

Modx 1.0.2 running on IIS

[+date+] is working fine for me in a local install of Evo 1.0.2 (windows XP Pro + Apache + PHP 5.2.9-2, though I doubt if that has much to do with it). I use the PHx version by preference anyway - why do settings in three places if you can do them in one? - but just added [+date+] to a chunk for a test, and with default action (nothing in the Ditto call), items created yesterday come out in format 18-Nov-09 16:49

Is it that something that was working before no longer works despite no change?

yes, [+date+] had been working fine previously.
