Maybe I’m just daft, but I’ve searched the forum for ’strip tags’, ’remove html’ and so on. Found nothing.
I have a sidebar with a Ditto-call that shows the 5 latest news in a news archive. I use the [+summary+] placeholder and want to display the 5 first words of each retrieved article. However, if the article contains any formatting this will show as well, potentially disturbing the natural flow. How do I get rid of them?

On the same note, I’m currently trying to build a plugin that gives the option to create an intro text from the page’s content. I’ll see what I can come up with, at the moment I’m stuck trying to add a tick-box under the introtext area..
If you have Rich Text on, TinyMCE might be "entifying" your tags (e.g. changing ’<’ to ’<’). Uncheck the Rich Text box, save, and reload the document to see if this is happening.
