Filter by rating

Hello,

I use the CSS Star Rating snippet for my posts and would like to use Ditto to filter/sort by the rating. The template variable that stores the info stores it in the following manner:

8:2

How would one go about using this to sort? Can I use a snippet within a snippet call to parse the rating which in this case (I think) would be 8/2 = a rating of 4???

Has anyone tried to sort or filter by rating before? I scoured the Ditto pages, well I’l admit not all 60 I made it to a couple dozen and then had to start dinner
