TV Info Not Showing!

I tried putting the TV info right into the page template and also calling it with ditto.. so this is what I have

Ditto on Page Template:
[!Ditto? &tpl=`detailedEvent`!]

detailedEvent chunk:

<h3>[+eventTitle+]</h3>
<h5>[+eventLocation+]</h5>
<ul>
<li>[+eventDate+]</li>
</ul>

nothing is displaying on the page.. says "No Document Found."

<h3>[+eventTitle+]</h3>
<h5>[+eventLocation+]</h5>
<ul>
<li>[+tveventDate+]</li>

That means that no documents where found inside the document you are running the snippet.

Use &parents=`your list of ids`

Try this
[!Ditto? &parents=`20,30` &tpl=`detailedEvent`!]

Replace 20, 30 with the the parent(s) of the container you want to display children for.
Also make sure the documents are published and have the Show in menu checkbox selected.

the parent would be 4 which is "Events" and then under "Events" I have multiple listings.. its listing the info now, but also all child pages under "Events"

For the above problem have a look at the depth parameter.

I cant figure it out either get No Documents Found,more than i want displayed, or blank

Looking at the code I figured out what is causing the display of both child pages.. which is the chunk since its displaying everything. I put in &total=`1` in the ditto call (it is called a call isnt it?) and it seems to have stopped displaying both events that I have, but its displaying the wrong one. How do I get the event details for the current page?

So what do you want to achieve? What is the output you would like.
Are the ditto calls only for Event01 and Event02?
I do not understand why are you using a depth of 2 and total 1

Im trying to getet the current pages infot o display.. so since its on Event01 i want the Event01 info to display but its displaying the Event02s info

Why are you using Ditto display Event01 on the Event01 page?

You can simply use [*yourTV*] in the template. Ditto is for creating a list of documents.

In your Events template remove the ditto call and enter
[*pagetitle*], [*eventLocation*], [*eventDate*]
