I just tried out the sitemap tutorial but can’t get my page to display as an XML file when using Friendly URLs. If I change the suffix to html it works, but XML throws a 404 error. What’s the work around for this? By the way, great tutorial! SEO is still a little nutty to me.
UPDATE: You need to delete anything you have in the MODx configuration for the page suffix and add it to the alias. So for example if you have your site configured to use a .page suffix you have to append that to each document’s alias instead of setting it globally. This fixes the above error.
