Ditto to list with A-Z

Hi, I’m using MODx Evolution and would like to create an A to Z index of our dictionary entries.

I’d tried the A to Z snippet by garryn http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,2764.0.html and ditto_a2z by dev_cw http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,29537.msg179588.html#msg179588 but neither seem to work.

With the A to Z snippet I get no output,

with ditto_a2z I get a parsing error when following links.

Any help very welcome

any ideas on how we’d achieve this?

Looks like a solution.

Using ditto tagging could be an alternative but I’m hoping to base it on the Longtitle and Description fields. If I can filter my ditto calls to use the first letter of my Longtitle and Description field entries for tagging that could be cool.
