I’ve searched this forum for the answer to this question and been sent in a few directions, but I haven’t necessarily found an answer yet.
I have a template variable titled [*GeneralInfo*], the information contained in this variable is displayed in the sidebar of the main page. This TV has been placed in the template that formats the main page.
I would like the user to enter this info, when editing the main page. However, I would like to display this information in the sidebar of other pages in the site. Not all, but some. I would prefer is the user didn’t have to enter this information again on each page.
There has to be a simple answer for this, but I’m not really sure what it is.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
If the other pages are below the main page in the document tree (that is, they are children of the main page), you can use @INHERIT for the value.
If that won’t work, another way is to just put the value in a chunk and let them edit the chunk, than a chunk tag on any page at the site will display the value.
