hello,
my first post! and appropriately enough, its about how to get started. I’ve been looking around the MODx forums and site for the last 20mins or so, and performed a few searches -- but i cant seem to find any pages/posts aimed at somebody starting - from ground zero.
“ground zero” being that I’m well versed in xhtml, css & flash, and comfortable with javascript/dhtml and actionscript. I’ve played around with the BASICIS of xml, php, mysql. Heavy emphasis on the
“basics”
I’m assuming this might be a common starting place for many people.
As fall approaches, I’m looking to re-design my website - new look, make sure it validates, add a blog, and implement a CMS. I’m looking forward to doing some serious php/mysql studying/learning in the process!!
So that’s where I’m coming from, now I just need to know:
What do I do next, and how do I get started?
Heh heh.. actually.. I’m assuming there’s a thread or a page here somewhere dedicated to this topic, I just cant seem to find it.
If you could point me in right direction, or share some input, I’d really appreciate it!
Thanks!!
