Display Documents by Last Comment

Hello,
I would like to have a little display on my sidebar to display the documents with the latest comments and the contents of that comment (with the date, author, etc.). How would I accomplish this?

I don’t know if there is already any way to do this. I would make a snippet to get the latest comment from the database, get the ID of the news article it’s from (uparent field I believe), and generate the output from that.
