    I am working an a website and my designer makes it hard on me again:
    http://www.1-vision.nl/voorbeeld/nautix/index4.html

    see how the menu folds out from nautix software -> wise octopus->handleidingen

    I have found a lot of nice scripts that pull down and pull left or right but non that pulls up.

    if somone knows how this is doable with dropmenu, please tell me.

    [off-topic] centering a webpage in the middle of the page using css, I think its not posible. It is using a frameset but using frames and modx... any one knows how i could do it? see link above what i mean that page is a frame set centerd in the middle of the screen [/off-topic]

    Thanks alot for any help

      Of course and of course. It’s all in the CSS. cool

      To center (vertically) use margin:auto

      #container{
      width:750px;
      margin:auto;
      }

      Unless you mean centered also horizontally. That can’t be easily done in CSS, but it is possible.

      To have the drop-downs drop-up, just use negative values when positioning the sub menu ULs. Adjust as required.

      Why are you using frames? That is a very simple layout.

        You should swiftly kick him in the nether region. That’s gonna require some fancy javascripting for sure.

        Centering a DIV in the dead center is doable, but I don’t know about a frameset. You have to wrap your content in an extra DIV and requires a bit more tricks including a negative 50% top margin, but not too frightening.

          Why not simply use position: relative with a negative top positionning ? That and a display:none on :link and :visited and a normal display setting on :hover and :active ?

            If you don’t know exactly how tall your menus are, or if you resize your text size on your browser, things will fall apart.

              Thanks al

              will work on this tomorrow and post my findings here

              I am not going to use a frameset but all div’s

              Centering a div between left and right is no problem but centering a div between top and bottom is not working, i tryed lots of ways but did not sucseed. while using a Table it does work by setting align="center" valign="middle" but a div does not act the same. I made a master container div and set align="center" valign="middle" it did center but valign no way hoesee.

                    Clever! One of those "now why didn’t I think of that" obvious-in-hindsight things!
