Show different pages in marquee

I’m making a slideshow for a car company, and in that slideshow you can see all the cars they have for sale. It’s easy to show 1 page with Ditto, but i can’t get it done to show more pages in the same ditto call.

This is my structure:

+ Cars (3)
+ Category A (10)
- model 1
- model 2
+ Category B (11)
- model 1
- model 2

On the page ’Cars’ i now have the ditto call: [!Ditto? &startID=`10` &randomize=`1` &sortDir=`ASC` &tpl=`slideshow`!]

As you can see, i’m now showing category A on the website, but i also want to show category B in the same ditto call. Is there a possibility to show both categories when my startID is 3?

Try using &hideFolders=`1` to remove the "Category" parents from the results if your using &startID=`3`.

No that doesn’t work, when i do that i see the message ’no documents found’...

Try adding &seeThruUnpub=`on` &depth=`3`

Almost! I can see the 2 different categories now, but ditto is also showing 2 empty spaces (i guess page 10 & 11) i tried to filter them out with &filter=`id,10,2|id,11,2` but that has no effect. Are there any other ways to exclude pages?

You shouldn’t need to filter out the Category Parents, and from what you say that not working means something else is getting into the results.
Have you added &display=`all` to get all possible results?
Do any of the Category Parent’s children have child pages?
What does your slideshow chunk look like?

I did the following things:

- I made a TV named ’marquee’ with the default value:

<ul id="columns"> [!Ditto? &sortBy=`pagetitle` &startID=`3` &seeThruUnpub=`on` &depth=`3` &randomize=`1` &sortDir=`ASC` &tpl=`slideshow`!]</ul>

- I made a chunk named ’slideshow’, with the chunk code:

- In my template i have installed the following marquee code:

<marquee behavior="alternate" scrolldelay="30" scrollamount="1"  truespeed="truespeed" direction="left" loop="-1">[*marquee*]</marquee>

If you want to see the result, you can take a look at the scroller on the bottom of the page: www.klaashobo.nl/content. You can see 2 empty blocks, and i guess that’s the result from pages 10 and 11. That’s why i asked if it’s possible to filter them out...

I can see in the source code that it is the Category Parents ( id’s 10 & 11) that are being included.
I notice you currently don’t have &hideFolders=`1` in your snippet call, try adding it and report back.
