Ditto for blog- need image on summary page

I’ve the same problem. But I didn’t understand that explanation. I use ditto too to show up my news summary.

But the image didn’t appear on that [+featuredimage+]
Am I missing something?

I think I can’t call the featuredimage with ditto.
How to call it?

I’ve add &hiddenFields=`featuredimage`
But still, the thumbnail didn’t appear.

You should put this template in the chunk, and then call it in the Ditto call.

eg. &tpl=`myCustomTpl` , where myCustomTpl is the chunk.

Also, in the Ditto templates, always use the Placeholders eg. [+xyz+] instead of [*xyz*].

It works
But then another problem reveal. lol

The div is looping when I use ditto template(chunk).
And I separate them into real template and chunk

In the real template, I put the HTML and CSS code.

And in the chunk, I put only the table that should loop.

But I can’t use the ditto template when I activate the real template.
I call the chunk in the real template, but this is not working.

Any solutions ?

And the another problem
My content image show up when I call the ditto template.
How to show only the summary text, not the real content. So the content image won’t appear.

Hey,

Any chance someone could give me some more help with this. I’m very new to modx, only a few days in so I really need it broken down with each step.
I’m using Ditto also but have customised it a bit, just to specify what I want visible on the page.

Also if you could explain the actual theory behind it as well would be great. ie. if it’s finding a specific image for each blog entry (summary), where is it getting it from? Also how will this affect the client?

Ideally i’d like to be able to give a client a cms with maybe these blog fields among others:
Title
Description
Summary Image (upload form?)
Then the RTE editor for the main post content.
