I’ve been trying to put dateFilter into good use and sort out my docs by my custom date TV and to show only the ones, who’s month equals to current month, despite the year, aka "this month’s birthdays list", where date TVs are birthday dates with various years. And i need only month... (Live page:

I came to a conclusion while experimenting and searching the forum (most clear -
http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,14354.0.html), that dateFilter filters by month only when it filters by year too - you must specify a certain year to, which doesn’t suite my situation. Is there any workarounds to this problem. Any advice?
My Ditto call is:
[!Ditto? &parents=`[*id*]` &extenders=`dateFilter` &dateSource=`dittodata` &dateFilterSource=`dittodata` &year=`Need no year filtering!` &month=`05` &dateFormat=`%Y %m %d` &tpl=`ditto_news2` &display=`10` &orderBy=`dittodata ASC` &paginate=`1` &paginateAlwaysShowLinks=`1` &language=`lithuanian` id=`menesio_gimtadieniai` &debug=`1`!]
Or maybe I could hack "dateFilter.extender.inc.php" file to make "&dateFilterDefault=" work for month only? But I don’t know PHP at all...
If anyone can give any advice, I would apreciate.
