[+date+] placeholder is throwing an error

... i’m located in Europe and the server is in the US, so there’s a 7hours discrepancy

when i create a new ressource ( without setting an offset time ), the createdon will display 7 hours behind my time

... but if i set an offset time and use my [*startdate*] TV (Input Type: Date / Widget: Unixtime) it will add + 7 hours in the output which is quite confusing for the editor - am i missing something? shouldn’t the offset time also apply to the date widget in the backend, so that it’s synchronized with the output? // need to recheck

kp52, when you talk about the sever offset time in your above post of 28-May-2009, 06:43 AM, do you mean the Manager selection reached via Tools -> Configuration -> Site -> Server_offset_time?

It seems that you do. I had set the offset to two hours. When I set it to zero, the problem I described at http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,17186.msg284908.html#msg284908 disappears.

As a workaround, I can live with offset=0. In my case, that is better than inserting the code you devised and then having to maintain it from one MODx version to the next.

It seems that we have run into a bug. How to properly report it?

I gather from context that Elastoplast is the brand name for a bandage where you live, most likely in the U.K. or a Commonwealth nation (according to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elastoplast). They call such "Band-Aids" here in the U.S. Amazing what one learns on an international forum!
