Hi guys, and thanks for taking the time to help a complete modx newbie out!
I have modx 0.9.6.3 and im running Ditto 2.1.
My questions are below, I have added the template variable ’thumbnail’ to my sub-pages that i wish to display using ditto. Now i cant work out how to put the ditto call into my template properly.
I’ve found the following, but slightly confused by it:
[[Ditto? &id=`myDittoCall` &startID=`2` &summarize=`6` &tpl=`ditto_blog` &paginate=`1` &extenders=`summary,dateFilter` &paginateAlwaysShowLinks=`1` &dateFormat=`%a %d %B %Y`]]
1. what should i replace myDittoCall with (should it be the parent page’s alias or the title ive given the parent page).
2. what should i use as the start ID? - is this the number that relates to the ID of the parent, or the start of the sub-pages?
3. im guessing summarize is the number of results i want displayed
4. where do i create a new template for the output
5. how can i include my template variable (called ’thumbnail’) into the ditto call
