How do I make an index by parent id?

    I am new to this, but I hope someone can help me out.

    I have a structure like this:

    Animals
    - Zebra
    - Cow
    - Cat

    Fruit
    - Apple
    - Kiwi
    - Lime

    I want to create a single template that will give me an index summary of any section, i.e.

    Zebra, Cow, Cat

    would be one page and

    Apple, Kiwi, Lime

    would be another.

    My current statement is

    [!Ditto? &startID=`8` &sortDir=`ASC`&display=`all`&tpl=`episodeSummary`!]

    How do I abstract the startID to simple be the current page’s ID?

      Easy answer! This is a smart little snippet!

      Just don’t include &parent, and make sure that the template is at the top level of the section!
