Replacing [+introtext+] with [+content+] but restricting no of words

Can I replace the [+introtext+] with [+content+] but restrict the no of caharacters so that a summary of the actual content is displayed?

Yes you can. But you will need to use phx to do it. PHx is available by default in Ditto templates so you do not need to install PHx plugin. You will need the word_limit PHx modifier since it is not part of the default package.

Or you can use summary extender ( &extenders=`summary` ), &truncLen parameter and [+summary+] placeholder in the Ditto template.

Yes, I keep forgetting about that. This is the second time this month I think I forgot about the summary extender

Does anyone know of a way to remove html tags from the content i.e. the <P> tag at the start of the truncated content?
