Looks like I needed to add in &depth to the XML call in order to get the pages to pull. Interesting because it worked fine before without it.

I’m running into an issue with Ditto pulling results into an XML feed. We run MODx on a collegiate athletics site and I use Ditto to pull stories into a news page. This works great with the regular Ditto call. However, when I try to grab the latest 3 stories from each team to pull them into a custom XML feed to run homepage stories in Flash, it doesn’t work well anymore. I have a container for each year that is blank, and each news story goes under the corresponding year. To prevent the year "folder" from appearing in the regular Ditto results, I just set a publish and unpublish date. However, when I try to create the XML call, nothing will pull from the folders like they used to. In order to have them appear, the stories have to be listed under the sport news container.
What works now:
Basketball News (85)
-2008 News (show on homepage unchecked)
-story 1
-story 2
-2009 News (show on homepage unchecked)
-story 1
-story 2
- Story 3 (show on homepage checked) - only story showing in feed
What I need to work:
Basketball News (85)
-2008 News
-story 1
-story 2
-2009 News
-story 1
-story 2
This is my call in the XML that always worked before:
[!Ditto? &parents=`85` &format=`xml` &display=`3` &tpl=`top_stories`!]
And here is what the XML pulls correctly:

<heading></heading>
<caption></caption>
<url></url>
</story>
Any ideas on what may be the issue?
