&sortBy formatted date

    I’m trying to configure Ditto to display an RSS feed of calendar dates sorted using an event starting date TV. It’s not working which I suspect is because the starting date TV is formated:

    TV: EasyEvents_Start

    Input type: Date
    Widget: Date Formatter
    Widget Properties: Value %A %d, %B %Y

    [[Ditto? &parents=`317` &summary=`12` &format=`rss` &depth=`3` &hideFolders=`1` &seeThruUnpub=’1’ &showPublishedOnly=’1’ &sortBy=`EasyEvents_Start` &sortDir=`DESC` &tpl=`rssCalendar`]]

    Can anyone confirm this and suggest a solution please?

      I usually set the date TV to unixtime since the time tamp is easy to sort by and format the date in the output either using the &dateFormat parameter or PHx (remember that PHx is available to use inside of a Ditto tpl.

        thank you - unfortunately I’m using the EasyEvent snippet so if I change it back to unix time I’m not sure how this may affect the functionality of the rest of the snippet!
