(SOLVED) Output documents in the same order as they appear in the Manager?

I’d like to see Ditto output documents in the same order as they appear in the Manager. Is this possible?

Yes, you can sort Ditto by whatever. The manager has a few sorting options so I am not sure which one you are using. In any case you can sort Ditto by the menuindex parameter which I think is the default for the manager.

This page has a full list of all of the available document variables. But you can also sort by template variable value as well.

If you are using the more recent version of Ditto you can sort with the &orderBy=`menuindex, ASC` and in previous versions you would use &sortBy=`menuindex` &sortDir=`ASC`

Yes that worked. I had to use sortby so apparently I don’t have the latest version. When was the latest ditto released? Is an upgrade advisable?

I think that the latest is 2.1, but the orderBy doesn’t work for me either (i am using 2.1) so don’t feel bad. It is in the documentation so I figured there may be something to it. I may have misunderstood the documentation.

It works here... probably you need to use standard SQL order by syntax (without comma before ASC/DESC).

Thanks for the tip, that works for me as well. The docs are very unclear on this.
