can I use ditto in the manager somehow?
that could have been *sweet*.
So why is it that we can’t use snippet in the backend? , I’m not a coder but very interested knowing why not.

Explain the use case, please. Ditto is meant to summarize documents to pages and only works on the document tree. The manager in 096x doesn’t use the document parser so Ditto’s functionality would be lost.

if the manager was using document parser and we were able to use the standard modx snippets also inside the manager that could create lots of opportunities for the backend. for example with ditto you could add a manager tab with different ditto calls for last 20 docs, all docs published by X, etc.
and have direct edit/publish/delete right from there, imho it’s endless.
Won’t $modx->runSnippet work?
Hi,
you can execute ditto in the back end but you have to made some changes to the paginate function.
:-)
heliotrope how would I do that? I don’t mind the paginate function right now.
when I tried it in my welcome.html for example I saw the raw [!Ditto!]
Needs to be in a php page. To add this to the welcome.html page you would need an iFrame or AJAX.
