"The Ditto object is invalid. Please check it." error example

Here are the two calls on the page: one to Ditto (to retrieve post with a certain tag), one with Reflect (to create a menu of the available tags).





This produces the error: "The Ditto object is invalid. Please check it." output from the second (Reflect) snippet. The id of the page is 36. Any ideas?

not sure if its the problem but In the ditto call your missing the ’&’ in front of total=`all`

Thanks for catching that. I fixed the typo but there was no effect on the error.

A bit more about my situation: On one page, I have a general index, which has a ditto call and a reflect call. The ditto call pulls all children of the page we’re on (with a couple filtered out). The reflect call pulls a list of months (wordpress config) with the target id set to the page we’re on . Both calls have the same $id. The page is uncached, the calls are cached. Another menu gives links for available tags. These links go to individual pages, each with a ditto call filtering results by tag.

Now, this main page works fine.

However, the problem is on these individual pages for each tag. These pages contain the exact same calls as the main page, except that the Ditto call contains the tag parameters. On these pages, the Reflect call gives the above error.

Nothing I change in either call seems to have any effect.

You mean the Reflect call on those individual pages are the same as on the general index page ?
And you don’t attach any parameters (to the Ditto call on those individual pages) in those links ?

Then, how about changing &id value on those individual pages ?
