Hi all,
so I have this template that does two ditto calls in it. First I do a call with the paginate = 1 option. The second call doesn’t use the paginate paramater. Everything works fine when the initial page is loaded. As soon as I load i.e. page 2 the second ditto call will not show anymore results. It looks like it inherits the "start" value of the first ditto call. I have no clue what I’m doing wrong so far. I was hoping any of you can see what I’m missing...
Here are the calls I use (I know I should use [!...!] instead of [[...]] , but the no-cache doesn’t seem to work for me). First call:
[[Ditto? &tpl=`DittoNewsArchive` &paginate=`1` &summarize=`10` &parents=`88` &sortBy=`pub_date` &sortDir=`DESC` &dateSource=`pub_date` &dateFormat=`%d-%m-%Y` ]]

Ditto uses a dittoID parameter; it you set it for either or both of the Ditto calls it will use that to distinguish its own parameters and variables.
My god, that was a fast reply. Thanks for the help.
I added "&dittoID=`a`" to the first call and "&dittoID=`b`" to the second call. Still no success. Could it be that the GET[’start’] variable is wracking things up?

I don’t know; I’ve never used this myself. A quick look at the snippet, though, and I believe I got it wrong; dittoID is the internal variable, the parameter should be &id=
Thanks. I have to admit I did spend time reading the documentation, but probably didn’t catch that id variable. Not sure if this is something interesting, but thought I should at least mention it:
Before I read your reply I tested someting. I changed the summerize value of the first call to 4. When I loaded page 1 everything was fine again. When I loaded page 2 the second Ditto call indeed took over the $_GET["start"] value from the first Ditto call. Even though I had used &start=`0` and paginate=`0` in the second call.
So after I red your post I used &id=`a` in the first call and &id=`b` in de second. When I loaded the page the complete pagination part was not being loaded at all. After I removed the id variable from the first call all suddenly worked fine.

When you set &id=`a` in your Ditto call, you have to add that id (=’a’) in the placeholders like [+a_previous+].
Starting to understand the works of Ditto better by the day cause of you people helping me out here.
