I’m using Ditto to make a gallery -- on a person’s profile page -- of thumbnails linking to samples of work.
But I want to make another page, which summarizes all the PROFILE pages, and includes the gallery in the listing.
So this requires a ’nested’ ditto call -- a ’gallery of galleries’ -- but I can’t get it to work.
Each profile page has a TV called ’Works’ which lists the doc IDs which relate to them, e.g. `5,7,9,8`
And a ’Gallery’ TV which contains the Ditto call: [tt][!Ditto?documents=`[*Works*]` &display=`all`!][/tt]
And the Content of the page is [tt][*Gallery*][/tt]
So far so good -- works great.
But in the ’gallery of galleries’ document, if I put [tt][+content+][/tt] or [tt][+Gallery+][/tt] in the Ditto template, they don’t get ’processed’; they just appear as if the Ditto call was some text.
How can I force Ditto/MODx to pre-process the nested Ditto call? I imagine this has something to do with ’rendering’ order.
I hope I’m being clear...

try calling the inner ditto cals like this: [[dittocall etc]] and the outer ditto call like this [!dittocall etc!]
