Wrong date output - 1969?

    What else is affected?
    Have you tried creating a new doc and have Ditto do it’s thing, does it show the date in unix timestamp format?
    What happens if you change a date manually in the database?

      All new documents show ditto output of December 31, 1969. The dates are fine in the DB. Nothing changes when I change them in the DB.

        Look at your event log in the manager. If it is a php bug it may show up in the log.

          There are a few errors, but none that I can attribute to the wrong date. They were random parse errors from when I was configuring a couple other snippets (ezFAQ and MemberCheck). It’s becoming a bit frustrating. I’m really close to backing up and reinstalling. Any other thoughts before I do this?

              Did you try checking if the server itself has the right system time?

              Create a new file called date.php, stick this in it and put it in your webroot:
              <?php
	$time = time();
	$year = date('Y',$time);
	$month = date('m',$time);
	$day = date('d',$time);
	echo $day.' '.$month.' '.$year;
?>


              Take a look at the page. Is it today’s date?

                Hi,

                I don´t mean to hijack the thread, but since I also have a 1969 date problem I´ll post it here.

                Whenever I post a blogpost using Newspublisher the editedon date is never set in the database. It just reads 0, and this messes up my sitemap.xml since the date of the document is all wrong. If I go back and edit the blogpost using Quickedit then the editedon date is set but not when the document is first created.

                I´ve been searching the forum, but no answers.

                Any help would be most appreciated!

                  I did the date thing a few days ago when I contacted the host to see if they had changed anything. The server date is good, at least AFAIK, it spit out 15 06 2008 two days ago. I just reloaded the date too and today’s date showed up, so I’m still clueless as usual.

                    OK, I added a custom date TV and it’s now giving the correct date. BUT, this is just a temporary and time consuming fix. The problem must lie with ditto’s dateFilter extender or something.. Not sure, but it seems that the problem lies with Ditto somewhere.

                    EDIT:
                    Today I was curious to see how the system itself was handling dates. I went into both the Manager Users and Web Users. Well, the Manager users displayed the correct Last Login dates, but the Web Users, created by WebLoginPE, displayed the 1969 date. I hope that helps spark an idea! Thanks.

                      I wish there was a way to combine two threads, but here it is...

                      I found out from my host LiquidWeb that they upgraded my server to MySQL 5.0.51a (because of stinking cPanel) without notifying me. And since Ditto has issues with that version I’m wondering if there’s any way it would cause the date problems too. Does that help?
