JSON output default createdon date even after specify &dateSource=`DateStart`

My ditto call is as follows:


But the output on the JSON for date is actually the createdon date of the content rather than the custom TV DateStart.

Shouldn’t the dateSource parameter overrides it with the TV specified ("DateStart")?

Am i missing something here?

Im having the same issues with dateSource? The previous link that had been posted is dead and so Im not sure if it was some kind of solution?

Basically I’m calling a Ditto snippet to be ordered by a TV. (NewsDate) I have set the widget to Date Formatter and set my own custom value.

Trouble is it doesn’t order by this TV?

Here is my call:

[[Ditto? &parents=`4` &display=`all` &tpl=`NewsTPL` &sortBy=`NewsDate` &dateSource=`NewsDate` &sortDir=`DESC`]]
