RSS Feed through Ditto need help with parameters......

I added the snippet for an RSS feed through Ditto, but I’m a total novice to MODx. I had help to install MODx but I’m trying to learn it myself.

I have added the snippet, but I cant work out how to set the parameters. For a start its not reading all pages just a few, it doesnt update, it hasnt updated since I installed the snippet. I would also like to be able to add the RSS feed logo to each page, plus have it in the address bar when you come to the site.

Is there somebody that can help, and show me how to update the snippet, in laymens or for dummies.

To get the feed icon in the address-bar, add this in your html head:
<link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" title="My awesome RSS feed" href="[~88~]" />

"not updating":
use uncached snippet call syntax: [!Ditto!] instead of [[Ditto]]

Parameters:
Show us your current Ditto call. You should increase / add "total" + "display" params:

I am really sorry, I am a bit lost trying to learn everything plus learning the language you use.

When you say add the script to your html head which file is that in?

I changed the call for ditto which seems to have worked.

This is my ditto call

[!Ditto? &startID=`3,57,4,5` &format=`rss` &summarize=`20` &total=`20` &commentschunk=`Comments`!]

How do I add "display" parameters
