Only the last 3 items in an RSS feed?

I’m sure this is something very simple- but in FF, Livebookmarks, when I use the call:

I see my last 3 items only when I subscribe to the feed, which I assume to be the default. When I use the call suggested in the Wiki:


I get... nothing- although in my source code I see the full 15 items.

Try running the URL or source code thru feedvalidator.org and post your results.

I’m having similar issues. I followed the tutorial Mark, from the same link above. But I don’t know what the URL is supposed to be.

Sorry to sound like such an idiot, but RSS is one of those thing that I just don’t get. Snippets, plugins, most everything MODx, yes, but RSS, no.

according to myfriendscallmebill’s compiled documentation of Ditto, &summarize was changed to &display. Try using:

Part of the issue is that instead of

[(site_url)][~[+id+]~]

in my RSS chunk, I had changed it to pass along a URL that is external to my site that is associated with a document object. Sometimes, those have unfriendly URLs with ’?’ in them, which RSS validator doesn’t like.

I then changed it back to my own id and, voila’ everything works fine. Still, in order to achieve the experience I want, I made a snippet [[redirect]] to give those id’s a 301 redirect to that same external URL.

my template calls it with

[!redirect? &newslink=`[*newslink*]`!]

but of course, any URL with a ’?’ in it sends the user to a dead end. So, I just need to figure out my snippet call, i think...
