Chunk display problems: "&tpl either does not contain any placeholders or..."

Hello,

Basically my problem is that my chunk won’t display, although others will. I get the following message:

"&tpl either does not contain any placeholders or is an invalid chunk name, code block, or filename. Please check it."

Seems pretty straightforward. Checking my code I am calling the chunk by doing the following:

[[Ditto?tpl=`blog_teaser`&display=`all`]]

Examining the chunk entitled blog_teaser, I had some HTML code:



On my page I see:

"&tpl either does not contain any placeholders or is an invalid chunk name, code block, or filename. Please check it."

I am sure I am using backticks and not single quotes.

So I made it even easier, by changing the contents of the chunk blog_teaser to



Still the same result.

However, when I call another chunk, from the same Ditto call, it works. Also, when I paste in the content of the other chunk to replace the contents of my blog_teaser chunk, that works as well. So I know that blog_teaser is being called and can display content.

This wayfinder code worked successfully when used to replace the contents of blog_teaser.



Note that the dynamic values come through as blank, but I do not get the error message above. This is what I am using (successfully) on the menu elsewhere on the page and I use it here just as a control.

So as you can see I’m not clear why one is working and the other does not.

Any help anyone can provide would be appreciated.

PHP 5.2.4
Apache 2
MySQL 5.0
Ditto 2.1.0 (I recently updated to this version).

You don’t have any placeholders in your blog ditto template. You would never see any contents whatsoever. Try this:
