Ditto 2.1 (and 2.0.1) breaking page layout w/ missing code

I’ve been away for quite awhile, so not entirely up to date... but wanted to update based on the security fixes. This resulted in a new Ditto which took a few changes (but simple Ditto calls, so nothing to complex).

I didn’t want to use the Introtext instead of Summary because that is being used throughout the site for something else. I believe display now replaces summarize, and I changed startID to parents. I’ve even tried removing the trunc parameters, but still issues.

At first I thought it was due to images, where the closing / & > were being left off, but now I’ve seen where code from a link gets cut off and I’m seeing:

Below is the Ditto call:

Any thoughts, previous posts that solve this, or is this a code bug?

You mention the introtext is being used throughout the site for something else. As of right now, the summary extender will use introtext if it is set, then if it is not, truncate the document content.

Could you provide a link to an example of this issue as well as the Ditto debug data?

Guess I caught you at a good time. I already started converting over one section, but here (http://www.identitydevelopments.com/shop.htm) is an example where it can still be seen...at least the image issue, which was what I noticed first, but may be more than just that.

It looks like the summary extender met its match with your content. Please file a bug report for this in the Ditto bugtracker. In the meantime, what about using the description field or a tv as the teaser text? That way you maintain control over where breaks occur (unlike the summary extender or PHx).

Submitted bug. I’ll probably go ahead and convert other pages over to use introtext. It wasn’t a critical usage before, was just hoping for a quick fix.
