Title and Author not showing up on blogs

Hi guys,

I’ve followed the tutorial on how to create simple blog step by step, http://wiki.modxcms.com/index.php/Basic_Blog , but now it looks like the [+title+], [+author+] and [+link+] placholders in my BlogTemplate chunk doesn’t have values.

I’ve also checked and saw that in the folder view in the manager, the blog pages created by the NewsPublisher snippet (I think?) didn’t specifiy which user it was created by. MAybe that could be why the [+author+] placeholder is empty. As for the others, I don’t know what’s wrong.

Also on the blog pages the Title is missing. This gets done in Ditto’s snippet code somewhere, where I dare not go and dig around in

If anyone can help, it will be greatly appreciated. Also let me know what info you guys need.

I’m running 0.9.6.1 and the latest version of Ditto (updated it last night as per some forum suggested).

1. Try updating to the development version as it might fix the problem.
2. Try swapping [+title+] to [+pagetitle+]
3. As for author, it looks like Ditto is not retrieving it. Try &hiddenFields=`createdby` with the development version as an experiment.
