Display month and year in wordpress-like archive?

Hi - I’m hoping there is something simple I’m missing. I followed the tutorial on the ditto site to set up the wordpress type of monthly archive and it all works fine except that I want to display the month and year at the top of the targetID page, so the user will have a cue. Like this:

Monthly Archive for [+wp_month+], [+wp_year+]

In fact that’s code I have there. http://dev.radcampaign.com/archive?wp_month=1&wp_year=2008&wp_day=false&wp_start=0

However I get no output, the debug console came up with nothing.

The reflect call I’m using is [!Reflect?config=`wordpress` &targetID=`23` &getDocuments=`1` &dittoSnippetParameters=`parents:21`&id=`wp`!]

The ditto call on the targetID is [!Ditto? &id=`wp` &extenders=`dateFilter,summary` &parents=`21` &dateFormat=`%B %e, %Y` &tagData=`documentTags` &removeChunk=`Comments` &tpl=`ditto_archives` &tagDocumentID=`26` !]

Thanks in advance for any help. I was also wondering if something similar was available with tagging - to display the name of the current tag at the top of the tagDocumentID doc.

What version of Ditto are you using?

As for tagging, take a look at the screencast.

Thanks Mark - I had watched the screencast but somehow missed the bit of it I needed the first time.

I am using version 2.02 of Ditto, version 1.02 of Reflect and version .9.6.1 of ModX.

Mark will most likely tell you that the development version – which in my experience is the most finely tuned and capable version – will fix this problem. Grab it now at http://ditto.modxcms.com

Hi Ryan - after seeing Mark’s question from earlier, I had updated to version 2.1b3 for Ditto and Reflect - it had no effect.

Try disabling the Reflect call in your template and see what happens. I think the Reflect call could be setting the placeholders before your Ditto call, thus filling them with blanks.

Ok - I gave that a try - no effect.

I can live without it of course, but it seemed like it should work.
