Publish Date formatting

Hello, I want to use the publish date value as the date for a given document instead of using the standard document creation date ( [+date+] ). But when I use it, it outputs just numbers (looks like unixtime format to me)... is there a way to format those into an actual date? I tired dateFormat without luck.

You can select which source to get the +date+ from with the &dateSource parametr, then to format the output you use the &dateFormat. In your tpl use the [+date+] placeholder.
